MND QUESTIONS TO EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY
Based on –
Independent MND Website www.motorneurondisease.co.uk
Being a full time carer for wife with genetic C9ORF72 for 3 years
Investigating & successfully solving all problems for care techniques / facilities / equipment
Independent investigation of all the latest MND & related medical developments UK & worldwide
Raising awareness of MND & donations for MND Research UK & worldwide (2018 directly in Australia & New Zealand & taken to USA & Japan)
1.CELLS – TOXICITY – ATTACK – slow / stop attack
2.MOTOR NEURONES – re-growth / grow new ones
3.STEM CELLS - grow new motor neurons – absolute belief in Stem Cells proven cures evidence – RESEARCH BY Japanese scientist in fooling stem cells to grow a range of organs in particular hearts – this is also being investigated & researched by British scientists – Stem cell have cured MS patient – my friend from my teenage years has had cancer in legs & received stem cells from a donor & appears to be recovering from my observation
4.CERVICAL CANCER NEW AUTOMATIC FAST DIAGNOSIS TEST – develop new test / similar test – not waitng 2 to 3 years for diagnosis when diagnosis could have been done in half a day even allowing for abslute confirmation of diagnosis thus allowing more meaningful testing & medical trials
5.PARKINSONS DISEASE – NEW BRAIN STIMULATION – significant improvement of condition which is lasting so far
6.ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FIELDS – contribution & effects on MND / research required / I live near a large high voltage national grid line – within 100 – 150 Metres cables we have had people with MND (my wife), Parkinson’s Disease (1person), Cancer (5 people), Dementia (1person), MS (1 person) – just coincidence ??? – I have a report from the National Grid claiming no problem – I have a report from investigators in Sweden who claim high voltage power lines cause serious health problems similar to those listed
7.TRAUMA INJURY – head / spine contribution to MND / research required (my wife had several Traumas before MND (head injury cracked skull hit by car, breast cancer both breasts, head split open at back after being thrown in a bus emergency stop, falls) & during MND (falls)
OPEN EVENING
Further to my attendance on 10 April 2019 at the Edinburgh University Research Open Evening in The Anne Rowling Clinic & meetings & discussions with all concerned in particular with all researchers & Professor Siddharthan Chandran
INFORMATION
I welcome information about relevant research & significant developments

Genes that cause inherited MND
To date, we know approximately 70% of the genes known to cause inherited MND. The most common genetic mistakes are:
•SOD1, discovered in 1993, accountable for 20% of cases of inherited MND
•TARDBP (TDP-43), discovered in 2008, accountable for 3-5% of cases of inherited MND
•FUS, discovered in 2009, accountable for 3-5% of cases of inherited MND
•C9ORF72, discovered in 2011, accountable for around 40% of cases of inherited MND
